  • Step 1

    Dissolve the yeast in the warmed up soy milk and let it sit for about 10 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Combine the rest of the ingredients for the dough in a large bowl. Add the milk and knead thoroughly to a smooth dough. Store it covered at a warm place for at least 30 minutes.

  • Step 3

    Wash the apples and grate them with peel. Mix in a medium sized bowl with the rest of the ingredients for the filling.

  • Step 4

    On a floured working space roll out the dough as a rectangle and spread the apple filling on top. Roll it up and cut them into pieces (about 1,5 cm wide).

  • Step 5

    Place on a baking tray and let them rise at a warm place for 10 more minutes.

  • Step 6

    Bake at 200°C for about 20 minutes, or until golden.

  • Step 7

    Sift the powdered sugar and mix with the lemon juice. Drizzle over the warm rolls and sprinkle with the almond flakes.
