Inspired by Billy the Exterminator!
My friend was just wondering a few days ago how we could make his hat look better and we were watching "Billy the Exterminator" and he had on a really awesome hat with a 3 tier pyramid stud band. I had an old belt from Hot Topic.

All you need is a pyramid stud belt, It can be old, new, vinyl, or leather; a hat that you can put a hat band on; some pliers and a good pair of shears that can cut leather.

  • Step 1

Measure your hat; our was 24 and a half inches around. You may need to remove a pre-existing hat-band to get a proper fit, but most of them are attached with fabric glue and will tear away will little to no effort. Just be careful to not rip the hat fabric.

  • Step 2

Cut what you need from the belt, but cut the entire length from where the studs are. You will removing some of the studs then reusing them and preexisting holes to join the ends of the band together.

  • Step 3

Remove the last column of studs from BOTH ends of the band. Use your pliers to gently bend open the prongs. Each stud should have 2 prongs. Be careful not to break the prongs.
