Cute knitted britches :)
These make really cute gifts :)

I got the idea from my grandma, They used to be really popular gifts years ago

There is a poem that goes along with it:

Now don't get excited,
Don't be misled,
These aren't for you,
But for the dishes instead.

Just pull on the bows,
Take out the stitches,
You've gained 2 dishcloths,
But you've lost your britches!

  • Step 1

Knit two dish clothes, I used the pattern I found on the packaging

    http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=243

  • Step 2

Fold them both in half with the open ends facing each other

  • Step 3

Take your ribbon and thread it through the top of the dishcloths using a darning needle or a crochet hook. Tie a bow when you get to the end :)

  • Step 4

Thread ribbon through both of the legs and tie with a bow. Thread ribbon through the middle of the legs so it stays together easier :)

The poem is really cute. I saw these at a market once and wanted to get a pair but now I can make my own! Yay, thank you for putting up a howto! Happy
