Step 1This gives the end a nice effect and slightly magnifies the cork within the polyurethane. I think it's very pretty looking. I removed the wire on the fourth day and smoothed the ends as much as I could.

The object is a plug. The size of the hole in the ear is the gauge. I have gauged the plug, and the hole in my ear, as a means of measurement.
