Refashion cardigans from leggings.
These cardigans are steampunk and grunge inspired. I refashion these from leggings.

You Will Need

    To create these two grunge/steampunk cardigans I’ve used 4 pair of leggings that were slightly too big. I liked the fabrics and they seemed perfect for cardigans.

    I’ve used a simple long sleeve t-shirt pattern. I found mine free on burda. I cut the waistbands off the leggings and cut the pattern pieces out.

    I cut the front part of the pattern as two pieces.

    I like the gathering on the leggings but it seemed too bulky for sleeves, so I attached it to the bottom. I think it gives it a real steampunk quality.

    This is a quick project as no hemming or finishing was necessary. To fasten the cardigan I used a lace brooch.
