Line tin with baking parchment and turn oven on.

Place oats; salt and sugar into a bowl.

Put the syrup and margarine into a large saucepan.
Simmer on a low heat, until margarine has melted.

Remove the pan from the heat.
Gradually stir in the oat mixture, until it is all coated with the syrup mixture.

Stir in the rasins and tip the mixture into the tin. Push the mixture into the corners and smooth the top.

Bake in the oven for 15 mins or until lightly golden.

Remove from the oven and cut into slices while still in the tin!
Leave to cool in the tin.
Once cold take out slices, now ready to eat.

Hi Shivi, thanks for the comment.
You could make the flapjacks healthier by replacing the syrup with honey, which I some times use.
You could experiment by using a powdery sweeetner, like candrel to replace the sugar.
Let me know how you get on :)
