Make your old T-shirt usable again!
I have tons of clothes that do not fit me anymore, but I love them too much to give them away. This is a big problem for me as it takes away a lot of my wardrobe space. DIY-ing them and keeping them near me in other forms look like the best option for me. Today, I decided to convert an old T-shirt that does not fit me anymore into a pillow. The idea seemed brilliant since the words printed on the front o me resonates so much. I hope you enjoy this.

It is easy and costs nothing. Plus, it makes a very good decorative piece. I know many must have done this before, but getting the idea only today, I had to post it here. If you guys do give it a try, let me know. Also, it would be great to see pictures of pillows made by you.

  • How to make a pillow. Diy Pillow Using Old T Shirt - Step 1
    Step 1

Take an old T-shirt that you do not wear anymore, and which would turn out to be a quirky and pretty pillow. Cut the middle portion, on the front and back, which would be the pillow cover. Cut along the edges, below the neckline and above the base.

I took one that had a nice saying on the front and thought that this would look great.

Put the good sides facing each other, and the wrong sides facing outwards.

Start sewing along the edges. I sewed using a needle and thread since I do not own a sewing machine. But if you have one, your work will be even more simplified.

Once all the three sides are sewn, carry on with the fourth one. In the last one, however, leave some gap in the middle from where we can insert cotton, or cloth pieces (like I did).

Cut pieces of the leftover T-shirt. The leftover pieces might not fill the pillow case completely, and you will have to use more pieces. I had to use 2 more old T-shirts to fill up the pillow cover completely.

Once the insides are filled, sew the open edge and seal it completely.

And Ta-Da, your own DIY pillow is complete. If you have a pillow and you only want a cover for it, this is a great idea. Just make sure, the T-shirt is bigger than the pillow that you have.
