Deader is better.
I found these cute flowers at the thrift store. I knew they would make cute hair pieces, so I just had to have them. They came out so cute.

  • How to make a flower hair clip. Dead Flowers - Step 1
    Step 1

First the sunflower. It was a little big to be a clip. So I thought it should be a comb instead. First I snipped out the thick chunky things in the middle. I glued down the petals so they lay flat. Then I glued a few leaves and the comb on the back.

Then I used yellow, orange and a tiny smidgen of red paint to add some highlights to the middle of the flower. I used the black fine tip sharpie to add lines to the flower petals. Then I glued the skull in the center. I did a white wash of paint on the skull with highlights of black.

I didn't do too much to these two flowers. I glued the petals down, then I glued the leaves to the back.

Then I glued the skull bead in the center. And then I glued the clip onto the back. I gave one of these to my BFF. She loved it. ^_^
