I love making these baby burp rags! Easy and cheap to make, fun to give as gifts!! Best hint I can give you is to buy good cloth diapers and I would stay clear of cheap cheap material since these will be washed often!

I pre-wash all the diapers, and the material..Then once out of the dryer I press them....My fabric inserts usually end up being approx 4" x16 depending on the diapers I use, and I use either the zig stitch or at times decorative stitching. I have also done a few in simple appliques.
