Insert the piece of cardboard into your card/ envelope. This is to keep the watercolor from seeping through the entire card. I didn't think it was necessary, but look what happened to my envelope....tragic, no?

Cut up your newspaper into a bunch of funky shapes. Glue them onto your card.

Now, the fun part! Paint your card however you'd like--I chose a weird color scheme (red, then orange, then purple and blue), but it turned out awesome. Since it's watercolor painting, the colors will blend no matter what. Also--Newspaper doesn't take to watercolors very well. To make the color stronger, do several coats of paint. You can also try using a more dry paintbrush; it makes the colors stronger.

Let your fabulous creation dry, then give it to someone special. They'll like it way more than any boring store-bought card!
