How can I modify this t-shirt?!

Started 12 months ago · Last post 12 months ago · Displaying all 8 Post
So I'm going to see Jeff Dunham live (for the second time) on Saturday 9th June. Last time he was here I bought a shirt, and I'd like to modify it and wear it this time.
Here's the print on the shirt:

And here's how it looks on me:

I purposefully bought it a size too big because my original idea was to turn it into a dress, which I later decided against. The print is too large for me to put corset lacing in on the sides and I can't think of anything else I could do with it. Does anyone have ideas?

My go-to t-shirt mod is a cute halter.

Cut the back straight under the sleeves and in the front cut at an angle from under the sleeves straight to the neck then cut the collar straight across. Hem all the way around, double fold the neckline to make a space for a string to go through and pleat the back to gather any excess fabric. Use the scrap t-shirt to cut strips and pull to make long and neat in order to make the string/tie.

I'll try to get a pic up so you can see how it looks.

My usual tshirt mods are off-the-shoulder boatneck, one shoulder sleeveless, and cut from one sleeve end to the other with the collar cut out, and then safety pin the sleeves back together.

well, it would work if rawr rawr wants the print to be upside down, margarita :D
maybe have a look at whatthecraft.com, there are some cool things.
does the shirt fit you around your hips? if so, you can cut of the sleeves and top and attach the upper part of another tank.
i like Emmyann´s idea, i´ll try that :D and monika reminded me that i wanted to make an one-shoulder top... it never stops... :D

I think I have an idea!

Make it an off the shoulder top and then add lacing at the side using this tutorial: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/easier-laced-up-top

Do you guys think it'll look good?
