I have been crafting for as long as I could hold a needle and thread. I began by making clothes for my dolls when I was young, and made my first outfit at age 6. I learned how to sew and crochet from my mother and grandmother. I was unstoppable from there, and have been soaking up different skills all my life. I am mostly self taught, mostly learning by trial and error. I was so excited by the craft revival in the late 90s/early 2000s as it meant there were a lot more resources to learn from. That being said, I still love a vintage pattern or craft book.

I am strongest at sewing, crochet, and knitting. Although I have given most everything else a try (some have turned out better than others!) I first came to this site to use as a place to keep a portfolio of all my crafts (since many other sites only focused on one craft). I quickly learned to love the community and skill sharing that happens on this site as well, and I've been a happy member since 2011. I'm originally from California but currently live in Scotland. I'm a professional cabaret performer (Markee de Saw) so I spend a lot of my crafting time making costumes for that.
