Step 1Any Betty Crocker cake mix can be made vegan. All you have to do is replace the wet ingredients with a can of fizzy water! You can use any kind you like, for my red velvet I used diet coke and it worked perfectly. You might also want to dry lemonade or just plain.

Step 2Empty the box into a mixing bowl and slowly whisk the can into the dry mixture. It will bubble up quite a bit, so make sure to add slowly. Keep whisking until everything is blended evenly.
Pour into a greased baking dish and cook according to the packet.

Step 3You can make vegan icing really easily as well! All Betty Crocker icing is vegan. Or you can make up one using vegan cream cheese and a sweetener such as agave syrup.
A lot of sprinkles are vegan as well, just watch out that there is not shellac on them.
