Shorthand

Does anyone know how to write in shorthand? Would you say it's possible to teach yourself?? Any books you'd reccomend?? =) Thank you xx

Why would you want to? I mean unless its just for your own note taking I can't imagine wanting to learn shorthand. It's not like anyone uses it anymore so no one else will be able to read it.

I think I rememer some sort of base lessons in shorthand when I was in elementary school- it never stuck but there are tons of sites on the web that teach you how to use shorthand if you really want to.

At uni lecturers say use text talk because then you will understand it, basically make your own abbreviations.

Yup most people don't bother to write in shorthand anymore, but I still enjoy writing little love notes to my boyfriend in shorthand. It's gives that romantic feel to a note or letter.
