The Hunger Games

Anybody else read this series?

I'm obsessed with it XD I work in a bookstore and recommend it daily to customers and coworkers. I've also gotten my mom, sisters, and somewhere around 20 friends/friends of friends/ friends of parents hooked.

Suzanne Collins has created an amazingly horrible future dystopia reminiscent of 1984 and The Handmaids Tale, except for teens! And her cliff hangs- geez do I hate her! I threw the book at the wall for the conclusion of the second book, Catching Fire, yelling "Where is the rest of the book?!?!?!" hehehe

Too bad the series got so big, because Scholastic decided not to release an Advanced Readers Copy for Mockingjay. August 24 seems soooo far away!

I really like the Hunger games, and can't wait for the next one. My only prob with it is its alot like Battle Royale. In a way. I enjoy both thoughHappy

I loved the first two books! The third was a total let down for me, but that was mainly because the quality of writing and plot wasn't there. She seemed really confused as to what she was doing. Oh well. First two were epic!

im reading it but im not that far into it because i only read it at home and im at home for like 5 hours + when im asleep which is like 5-7 hours

me, my mom, and my friends that have read the series love them! me and my best friend will have discussions at lunch and stuff, i cant wait for the midnight premire! the cast looks okay so im eager to see how it all turns out

I've read the first 2 and am extremely frustrated because the copy of Mockingjay at my local library has 54 holds on it! And I'm such a cheapie I absolutely cannot buy hardcover books...

Amazing books! I agree with PinkWeeds. I really didn't like the third book. But I still looove them. But I'm kinda pissed because the media is making it into Twilight. And IT IS NOTHING LIKE TWILIGHT!!!!! I was so so so so pissed off when I heard them compare it to twilight on E news. I almost threw something at my tv.
