GASP! I dont love Twilight

Worst. Film. Ever.

I'm a huuuuge vampire fan, but Twilight.
Eurgh.
I read the first book because everyone went ON and ON about it, and i was enjoying it until the whole stalking-kidnapping rubbish started and then it became so melodramatic it just lost all appeal.

The film. Don't even get me started! Good god, I can't stand that whiny bint! She pulls a really stupid face all the time and doesn't smile ONCE! And there's a vampire in love with her! That would give anyone reason to smile! I also don't think Robert Pattinson is particularly attractive and my friends all gasp whenever i say that. But, just... no!
I sat through the film and complained endlessly and probably shall be forced to watch the next one and will do exactly the same!
...Although i do quite enjoy a bit of Taylor Lautner!

:] x

Happy So I'm not the only one after all. I'm sooooo burnt out on vampires. Furthermore- vampires suck.

HAHA@Spright Vampires do suck! Thats what they do. I read all the books in a 3 week time span. I kept hoping that things would just change as I kept reading. I got tired of "oh poor Bella" . I would have arguements with Bella on how wimpy she was and stupid. Seriously...basic summary : teenage girl falls in love with stalker vampire boyfriend. he rans away, her and werewolf dude would be awesome together then decides to say "f' you!" and reunites with stalker vampire boy. They get married, she gets pregnant(VAMPIRES DONT HAVE THE ABLILITIES TO DO THAT! THEY ARE DEAAAAAD). Bella is still stupid and wimpy."

Forth book had more action and I liked it better than the other ones cause it was just dragging the same plot line over and over in the last three books.

If they want to do a continuation of that serious they should focus on Jacob and Nessie cause by the looks of it Nessie is soooo much better than Bella and I would love to read about those two only.

Now the movies...when I first watched Twilight. i was like WTH! I didnt know what was going on...watched it three more times to figure it out and nada...I had to read the book to fill in the holes and gaps in the movie. New Moon, I loved the Jacob parts and the voltari that is all.

lol I will still watch the other movies when it comes out to see how accurate they keep to the book. But its hollywood for you, things are bound to change no matter what.

Twilight was my favorite WORD until that bland book came out. I'm so disappointed that I can't even use it anymore without people think I'm some twitard. In my first semester of college we all had to pick two words to make a piece about every week for my Illustrator class, and I chose twilight and alchemic. The second week of class some girl randomly sat next to me at lunch and started talking to me about the books and I was just all "Uh, I just like those words...".

I was on some blog the other day reading a tut on how to make shrinky dinks with number 7 (or whatever) plastic, and the lady had mad a nametag for her kid and it said "Bella" and some chick in the comments freaked out "OMG I LOVE TWILIGHT TOO! ASKFDKSHFS!!!ELEVEN!". I was all "Wtf, it's her daughters name. Surely you know that other people in the world have that name...".

i refuse to read the books, and being a bit of a feminist myself, i am kinda tempted to smack anyone upside the head who claims it's romantic. Stalkers aren't romantic, they are creepy. your boyfriend should never have you afraid he's going to suck your blood out while you sleep, and if he sneaks into your room to watch you sleep at night dump him. (i've seen the first movie, and we have "lovingly" named the girl who plays the female lead "seziure face" because of how often she shakes her head uncontrollably in the movie... and every other movie we have had the misfortune of seeing her in...<at this point i would like to appologize to any epileptics i may have offended by classifying her with you. we all know most of you are better actors than her any day>) and i pity my poor niece who was named Isabella before these dratted books came out.

Good to read that I'm not alone with my opinion. When I was a kid, I loved vampires and read each "The little vampire" book by Angela Sommer-Bodenburg. But this whole Twilight series is quite lame, and the literary quality... *cough cough*. It's QUALity, 'cause the word QUAL means "torture" in German.

I think the best quote I ever heard was 'its just a teenage girls choice between necrophillia and beastiality.....' its just wrong! The books are poorly written to the point they're unreadable (and i can read anything) I was beginning to think i was the only person who wasnt fawning over it.

this thread probably saved my life. xD i just read through the entire thing, nomming on my breakfast the way people chomp popcorn while reading arguments in forums. ;)

anyway, i am definitely a harry potter girl, myself (have been since 6th grade; im 23 now....). i dont think that it has to be "one or the other," but twilight..... is SO bad. im a bit of a literary nerd, personally, and if this is the rubbish that sells these days, then as soon as i get around to putting pen to paper (or keyboard to computer, typewriter to tape, etc.....), ill be a millionaire. -.-

ive never read the books, though when it first came out, i noticed it at the bookstore, read the summary on the back, and put it down, saying, "meh." SO glad i didnt buy it.

the bf is basically of the same opinion, though he is a HUGE paramore fan, and downloaded the movie when it came out because apparently the movie soundtrack has paramore in it. he watched it, i tortured him about it, and then one boring, cold day, while he was at work, i watched it, too. the verdict: kill me.

i cant even begin to describe how inanely static that "storyline" is. i suppose it makes sense that a story about a vampire would have no lifeblood--haha--but.... REALLY?

ill leave it to the psycho-goth-fangirls (no offense to anyone here). im not really into the trappings of high school, anyway. never was.

God, Rach, you got it right there! I read up to the meadow scene, too...then my brain just stopped. I have an issue where if I don't get hooked quick, my ADD kicks in, and my brain switches onto some other subject, while I'm still staring at the same paragraph for an hour. So that's what I did, on that same scene, for like three days, then someone kept moving the book from wherever I'd left it, thank God, and I gave up. The bf and his best friend had the same prob. My brother made me go to the movie, so I could at least know how it all ends...I took the bf, we laughed in all the wrong places, joked about how neither Kristin nor Rob ever move or change their tones. Monotone Chick:I'm attracted to you. But you seem to hate me. Monotone Dude:I am also attracted to you. But I am a dangerous monster. Thus, I should stay away from you. But I want you." Then we rocked out to the Muse in the baseball scene.
I am a fan of vampires/werewolves(moreso) in fiction, film and tv. I was a HUGE Buffy fan(I was always Willow, btw), read Anne Rice in middle school, etc. I currently am a fan of the Sookie Stackhouse books, but the show doesn't do all that much for me(except Sam Trammel, AH!), mostly because I like the way Sookie thinks and talks, and cares about people. I love the Mercedes Thompson series mostest of all, and hardly anybody's ever heard of them!!!

Gah, never read the books, just the idea of sparkling vampires KILLS it.
Really does, persoanlly, I love Van Helsing (<ultimate vampirse right there in that movie<).
Twilight, to me is, fags that sparkle. And Edward Cullen? Hot? I think NOT.
Anyway, Robert Pattison was a Hufflepuff first!
He was kinda better looknig then than in Twilight.
TWilight "vampires" aren't vampires at all!
