Bra Sizing Is Never Right

I think that's half of my problem, because I'm a big girl it's very hard to feel sexy when clothing for large women can really get you down sometimes (particularly for YOUNG big women) so my boobs probably to me seem a lot smaller then they are.

I don't know. I know I wouldn't want to be too big. Gosh I feel sorry for those of you that get back and other pains as a result of large breasts Happy

lolly i understand completely. it seems like makers of plus size clothes think plus size gals have HUGE boobs. i always have to wear a tank top or cami under my tops because the breast part is too big and gaps. i don't know what is worse, feeling like a stuffed sausage or getting no support

i always wondered why they don't make something in every size. like this company makes anywhere from 32 a up to 42 f but the bigger sizes are not pretty. i mean , your making them anywhere so why can't you make them look like the smaller ones? O_o

Gah I feel everyone's pain i'm a 42DD NEVER can find my size in the padded bra's! Now I know what your thinking "why the hell do you need a padded bra?!" I dont mean padded like to made your boobs bigger just the slightly padded ones so your held up and your nipples arent showing when your cold I hate ugly cloth old lady bra's they suck! Victoria secret doesnt even sell my size in stores anymore you have to go online how lame is that? I feel like I'm being banished from society because I'm not only a plus size girl but a big busted one too and always have to shop online.

Plus sized clothes are always so hideous. I only have a shopko and a walmart in my hometown. I hate buying online because if it doesn't fit it's a pain to send back. Walmart and shopko's clothing for plus sized women are ALWAYS old ladyish looking. UGH. And whats with the cartoon characters on the tshirts? Have they reserved tweety bird and eeyore for the fatties? *angry smilie here*

I pretty much have to! There is a Maurices in town but $40 for a shirt is way out of my price range. It depresses me going there because the clothes are nice and too expensive.

Hm... sounds like you need to find a tailor--or you could take the sides in yourself. Happy Even I have to do that sometimes, and I have NO problem compared to what you ladies are discussing!

I have no talent with sewing(I can do basic stuff like mending!) and a tailor is not in our budget. I don't go out often anyways so I normally don't complain too much about clothes. I'll wear men's tshirts for all I care. lol

I just have to say, I am so glad that all you ladies out there understand the problem of being too womanly! I have so many friends who are smaller in the bust than I am and I have to just envy them. Even my boyfriend preferred it when I was smaller chested. (He's known me long enough to remember me in a large C cup)

lol My husband likes my boobs big. He knows when I'm more heavy set my boobs get some of the fat too so he never gripes about my weight. His one good quality.

my boyfriend doesn't realy gripe- he does tease me because I'm so little he thinks its funny and its hard to be mad at him for it. I have enough of a sense of humor to laugh about it too. But he does worry about my back and how healthy it is for me to be so large chested.

@Abbyka
Ha! I wear my husband's undershirts all the time. I actually bought him a couple of the 3packs because I'd worn (and stained) all his. Then, when he wasn't looking, I turned them all into tie-dyed shirts. That's basically all I wear. You can't tell the difference between the tie-dye and BBQ sauce. ;)

I want to get a tie dye kit sometime but I worry about the mess it would make. Last time I made a tie dye shirt was in high school art class and my friends and I had to take them outside when we brought them home to rinse them out with a hose. I live in an apartment now and can't do that!

Nah, it really wasn't that messy. I just cut open a big trash bag and spread it out on the table. Then I spread out a layer or two of paper towels. (You could use an old towel though) You get squirt bottles in the kit and they allow you to put the color just where you want it. You also get gloves to keep your hands clean, but a quick dip in bleach washes off any color stuck to your nails if you don't use the gloves. ;)

I just let the shirts sit there for overnight and most of the next day and rinsed them out in the tub before putting them in the wash. (we have a porcelain tub and it didn't stain...I don't know about other kinds of tubs, but I'm sure bleach will remove any excess color) Only wash them with other tiedye for the first couple of washes. It really wasn't that messy. Even the bigger kids could play. ;)

Sorry for hijacking this topic. lol

For Bras: I can sorta understand the pain of big boobs, my friend is like an E cup and she's constantly got back pain, shes slightly chubby, like a UK size 16/18.

For Clothing: It sucks. It's getting a little better here but evern shops that stock bigger sizes seem to stock MORE small sizes then bigger ones, so when they bigger sizes come in, they are snatched and gone in minutes!! It's getting better over here - sort of - Asda sometimes has some nice ish clothes and go up to a UK 24. Evans is getting better but the quality was crap and they wanted £35 for a fricken jumper!! They are too expensive. M&S is too grannified. The only place that I found that does some half decent not too expensive clothing is here: http://www.yoursclothing.co.uk/

I went to Lakeside on Friday and got two pairs of jeans, a top and a cool pair of studded leggings for £72 which isn't too bad I guess, it's not Primark (JC Penneys to everyone else) but it's not like M&S and Evans.
