I hate Ikea

Hmm Amsterdam and Groningen are kind of out of my reach, living in Maastricht ;) The advice they gave me is to call right before you go out the door, then their info is most up to date. The internetsystem is only updated once a day, at opening, so its nowhere nere accurate. But. I absolutely love the stuff they sell at Ikea. What about making a post with all our (revamped) Ikea purchases?

There's a local one near where I live (around an hours drive), and I've finaly given up trying to match childrens toys storage totes. I got some for a little girl in purple and pink. Everytime I checked to see if they had more in stock the customer service would say yes, and I'd get there and there would be the red yellow and blue, but no purple and pink. I finaly got irritated and just grabbed some of the yellows and blues and used plastic approved spray paint to make them all the same shade of purple.

Beyond that I dont buy anything if I don't have all the parts. I'm sure customer service is tired of me because I double and triple check that all parts are there including the stuff in the box before I leave the store.

Hallo, nog een Kaaskop hier ;-)

I'm lucky to live near an IKEA (Delft) and to have a friend with a car! She also likes to shop at IKEA. Untill now I only bought stuff that comes in 1 box. Like barchairs or a drawer for in my bedroom. And I check the site before I go.

I live 30 minutes from Ikea Seattle (yes USA).We just go to the restaurant when we are home sick. You could be in Lakeside,Essex apart from the accents.Food tastes exactly the same too.Of course I visit the ASIS textiles on the way out.

I used to live near Edinburgh and used the Ikea there. I never really had any problems. Then I moved to Portugal, and live about 1 hour from Porto Ikea. The only thing wrong with it - is it is about 5 times the size of the one in Edinburgh and it nearly killed me !! It is huge! We have bought a LOT of stuff from Ikea over the last year or so - and found that you can check online whether stuff is in stock. I have done that often - and never had a problem. Have any of you tried checking that way ???
