Student Loans SUCK!

Sooo...I was assessed to get 640 a month from student loans to live on. Awesome, that does cover living expenses so I had planned for that. Now...I got reassessed...for $410 a month, I cant even pay rent. My job is on campus and doesnt give enough hours.

So I am stuck needing to make at least $300 more a month (while doing school full time), and the Toronto job market...SUCKS.

Stressed to the max, my thesis is due in 3 days, this was not the news I needed.

OMG I don't get how they justify that, at least u get it per month tho, we get 3 payments a year... which makes budgeting much harder... I'm in my final year and I got a statement of what I owe them, £9,000 just covers the loan... I owe another £2000 or so in friggin INTEREST WTF!?!?!?

omgosh, and just wait till you have to pay it back. I am still paying mine back, and they are rude too. I had one who told me why did I get a loan if I couldn't pay it back in time

crazy

Oh man...I know what you two mean. Im freakin terrified of having to pay it back, Im at 56 000 by the end of this year (actually I think its more like 54 200 now). Even paying $10000 a year it will take me over 5 years to pay it off (plus the freakin interest....).

Plus....I still have to do my masters.....ultra shit.

sweety, I only had a $15,000 loan and I am still paying

Don't forget the interest, my interest is only $100 a month, but some of my friends have to pay $600 a month in interest+loan. You know they never tell us this when we apply to school, that they will hike up the fees and make us pay more
