freezer paper? used in T-shirt/printing - what is it

Hi there - I've been reading the instructions and how-to's to use "freezer paper" to cut out your design and then iron to your t-shirt... but I can't find any "freezer paper" here in Canada or its known under a different name.
Can anyone help me with this? instructions look great, but i'm not sure what to use?
Is it the same as waxed paper?
