I use transfer paper for loads of projects, combined with handpainting etc.
You can use it any time after half an hour after printing, but you can leave it for weeks before using it, and it's ok...I've used prints after 3 months sometimes.
I also use a printable cotton fabric too....print and peel off the backing to give you an A4 size sheet of cotton fabric with your own print on it, and its washable too.

I know this is a UK supplier, but if you look at the site you'll see the cotton printing fabric, and also lots of other things too.
I've used the tattoo paper, decal rub on paper, iron on, etc, etc. and it's all good quality stuff with great results Happy

I'm going by the based of what I am used to at work (because I do deal with this kind of staff), it can transfer to almost all fabrics, though I have some the one you buy from the store so I can try it out for you
