Where to buy fabric online?
I have a friend who asked me where the best place to buy fabric online is?
I haven't got a clue, so I'm hoping that someone in the fabulous CO+K family might know?
Thanks in advance
try fabric.com, joanne fabric, um hancock fabric those are in the US...i think that you're in the UK huh?
Oooooh I'll have a look thanks Melissa - yeah both me and my friend are in the UK!!
Thanks for the sites I'll have a little look.
Hmm. I don't know of any good sites in the UK but if you don't mind ordering from the states then there is Repot Depot, Fariy Fabrics, Crybaby Boutique, and J & O fabrics oh and Fat Quarter.com
You could try macculloch-wallis.co.uk they have a great range of stock and will even send you out samples if you ask. They also stock a huge range of trimmings, haberdashery and millinery etc etc...
hey thanks Tara, that helps me too...there only so many times I can go into Joanne fabrics and see the cute spring fabrics (i want to just throw up...) I need to look for some fabric for the dress I want to make for the summer (50's swing dress -either skulls or polka dot fabric I'm thinking!)
Lolly have you tried ebay? There's tons of fabric on there.
Melissa you can find skulls with polka dots on the websites I listed. LOL And also quilter fabrics too. Or something like that. dang it hold on let me go google this real quick haha!................E Quilter.
Hi, I hope no-one minds if I link to my own UK fabric shop here, that I just launched this week- http://www.sewbox.co.uk, it's not a huge range yet but there are some really nice fabrics and they're all top quality (John Kaldor is the range also sold in John Lewis at about double the price!)
hi there lolly, there's also:-
www.ragrescue.co.uk (recycled vintage fabrics, lace, etc.)
www.donnaflower.com (vintage, antique and retro fabrics)
i've actually been on the abakhan website but i was looking at the wool at the time...i live close to 1 of their shops though and my friend and i always go there for our fabrics and stuff...the other websites i got out of the sew magazine in the back so i don't knowhat types of fabric they do or what their prices are like...
anyhoos, hope this can be some use to you...
Ooh yeah Abakhan is really good, I've been to their shop a few times, they have tons of fabric=)
