Maternity Jeans

A friend is pregnant and she has asked if I could alter a pair of jeans for her, something like this
http://www.tvolif.is/index.php?option=com_ahsshop&vara=1333&Itemid=26&sP=0 ,is what she has in mind.

I think it looks doable, the only thing is, the jeans are ones she owns already and don't close entirely around her current belly.

So does anyone know of the best way I could add the elastic, or know of any sites that have good alteration guides?

Thanks Karen Happy

You can tell her in the meantime that she can put a rubberband throught the button hole using a slipknot and attach it to the button. That extends the life of regular jeans a bit. (= Hope I explained that right.
