Hey Esme! Sorry for the late reply - I had midterms last week *shudders* How did your Halloween party go? Did you still dress up as the tooth fairy?
I don't know why they under-use Rupert Grint (isn't that a fabulous name?) so much. He has a HUGE role in the books as Harry's best friend, even more so than Hermione does. But they always render him useless in the movies. Even on magazine covers of the trio, there are times when it's only Daniel and Emma on the cover and Rupert can only be seen inside the magazine. That REALLY bugs me.
The woman who plays Mrs. Weasley is PERFECT. She IS Mrs. Weasley, I love her too. Was the moving about driving? It had driving in the title... I forget the name, I wanted to see it but missed it in the theatres.
Emma's hair is REALLY ANNOYING. In the first movie it was perfectly bushy and adorable, but since the 2nd film they decided to go for more "pretty" than bushy. Making her hair wavy is NOT bushy!! Why couldn't they dork her up a bit? Hermione is supposed to be the ultimate nerd, not a model!!
I'm really curious to see how Bonnie Wright fares in the movies too, now that she has a bigger role. Isn't it weird that she's had that role earmarked for her since 2001 when she was only like 9 or 10, but she's never actually been in the movies, save for a few scenes in CoS? They could have made a huge casting mistake! For all we and the directors know, she could be horrible as Harry's love interest, and there's nothing they can do about it since they cast her 8 years ago. It's also going to be totally weird seeing Harry and Ginny kiss on screen... I just really can't imagine it. I keep thinking of that awkward Cho/Harry kiss and cringing lol!

I totally know what you mean about rupert grint!!! he had like what? like three lines in the fifth movie. he was in this other movie...ooh i forgot owhat the name was, with the actress who played mrs. weasley(i LOVE her, did you see her in Mama Mia???) and he is actually a not so terrible actor. Emma watson- annoys me. 1. her hair is not bushy enough 2. she doesn't carry or read enough books (tho that may be the director's fault) and 3. she calls ron ronald!! don't even get me started on daniel radcliffe, though he was pretty good in the movie my boy jack (very depressing but very good, especially if you need a good cry) i'm really curious to see how bonnie wright (ginnie) is going to turn our b/c she's never really had any lines so far and she'll really come into the story (wink wink)
Everyone else is pretty good though - I wish they gave rupert grint more screen time, I think he has a lot more potential. Emma is a bit of an over-actor lol, expecially when she's playing "upset Hermione" (which is most of the time these days). And Daniel's just a dork. He has that dorky vibe lol.

the character cho annoyed me in the book too. like at madam puddyfoots i really just wanted to like, shake her at tell her to get over herself! alan rickman i think is one of the only actors in movies based on books who completely does the character justice. it's like j.k rowling was writing the part for him and you're right, ever since like the 3rd one they've been using him less and less. also michael gambon is about the worst actor to portray a book character ever (but we haven't seen twilight yet)! the way he performs is an insult to richard harris and the real albus wolfericke percival brian dumbledore's memeory! (i may have forgotten some of his names) when he took over after the 1st guy died, he said he was going to make the part his own, but all he did was sabotage dumbledore! yea that part sucks but the other part i don't like is in the 4th when dumbledore grabs harry and yells at himm "did you put your name in that goblet?!?!?!" i saw the picture- it was really funny. i have to send you this hilarious twilight parody on youtube but not right now-i'm suppose to be righting an essay...oops :)

i totally will upload a pic! yea- the hp scene was really awkward but that may have been what it was like in the book (i wouldn't know) but they weren't even touching. i don't have that much experience in that department but it seems unlikely that all that is touching is your lips in real life. umbridge was FANTASTIC! she is such a good actor because i was convince no one would be able to do her justice. she is in this other movie called vera drake that i am dying to see. alan rickman and richard geer are my idols! even thought they are both really old i think they are hot!!! none of your friend read it?? that totally sucks, and really surprises me. i'm going to see it with my book club the saturday it comes out because my friend i was going to see it with suddenly decided that she will not see it b/c it will ruin the book. what do you think about the split of the 7th movie? sirius's death was a little anti-climactic i thought but maybe they will do dumbledore better:)

tooth fairy!!! that is what i will be!!!!! thanks so much!!!!!!!!! yea nikki whats-her-name is really pretty-WHEN SHE HAS BROWN HAIR!!!! they should have a real blond to do it. yea i'm really not a big fan of the hp movies. i think the 5th one was the best though. it seems like whether you loved the 5th or you hated it, when i talk to ppl who saw it. what do you think? thanks thanks thanks for the costume help- you have saved my life!!
