I heard they're chemistry was amazing! I'm too afraid to see it - I can't watch the previews for it and not laugh. I think I'd die watching it in the theatre and trying to hold in my giggles. It wasn't too cheesy?! I read one review for it where people in the theatre were laughing at Edward because he was just sooo pathetic in how he looked at Bella and followed her around.

Have you seen this picture of Mr.Unicorn-Head?

http://www.laineygossip.com/pics/twilight%201%2031oct08.jpg

Doesn't he look kinda... icky? o___o

It's like he's trying to mimic his Twilight character's cool/casual look (the tousled hair a la Edward is a dead giveaway), but failing miserably.

Hey Esme! Sorry for the late reply - I had midterms last week *shudders* How did your Halloween party go? Did you still dress up as the tooth fairy?
I don't know why they under-use Rupert Grint (isn't that a fabulous name?) so much. He has a HUGE role in the books as Harry's best friend, even more so than Hermione does. But they always render him useless in the movies. Even on magazine covers of the trio, there are times when it's only Daniel and Emma on the cover and Rupert can only be seen inside the magazine. That REALLY bugs me.
The woman who plays Mrs. Weasley is PERFECT. She IS Mrs. Weasley, I love her too. Was the moving about driving? It had driving in the title... I forget the name, I wanted to see it but missed it in the theatres.
Emma's hair is REALLY ANNOYING. In the first movie it was perfectly bushy and adorable, but since the 2nd film they decided to go for more "pretty" than bushy. Making her hair wavy is NOT bushy!! Why couldn't they dork her up a bit? Hermione is supposed to be the ultimate nerd, not a model!!
I'm really curious to see how Bonnie Wright fares in the movies too, now that she has a bigger role. Isn't it weird that she's had that role earmarked for her since 2001 when she was only like 9 or 10, but she's never actually been in the movies, save for a few scenes in CoS? They could have made a huge casting mistake! For all we and the directors know, she could be horrible as Harry's love interest, and there's nothing they can do about it since they cast her 8 years ago. It's also going to be totally weird seeing Harry and Ginny kiss on screen... I just really can't imagine it. I keep thinking of that awkward Cho/Harry kiss and cringing lol!

Alan Rickman is amazing, no one else could play that role. They should make better use of him - seeing him in his billowing robes with a scowl in his face always makes me laugh. I agree about Gambon - he's definitely the WORST choice to play Dumbledore. Like, were they really so desperate they had to choose him? Was there no one else? Don't tell me there aren't any other old white-haird actors in Britain! OMG yes that part when he yells at Harry and grabs him! Dumbledore would NEVER do that! I can't believe JK approved him. And Gambon always looks so stressed out - Dumbledore should be serene and calm and happy. JK said herself that she imagined Dumbledore walking around the castle whistling in his spare time. I totally can't imagine Gambon doing anything but sitting in his office scowling. Everyone else is pretty good though - I wish they gave rupert grint more screen time, I think he has a lot more potential. Emma is a bit of an over-actor lol, expecially when she's playing "upset Hermione" (which is most of the time these days). And Daniel's just a dork. He has that dorky vibe lol.

Lmao! I don't have much experience either there lol, but you'd think they wouldn't have to lean towards each other so mu h to kiss - they're 15, not 6 years old! It was such a geeky kiss. Cho as a character really annoys me anyway, so I didn't like her in the film. She seemed rather whiney. And I wish they'd bring Umbridge back in the next films!! it's not fair for JK to create such a great villain and only have her in one book.
LOL I totally think Rickman is hot. He's amazing and so talented, but underused in the HP movies. He captures Snape so perfectly, from his movements to the look in his eyes when he glares are people.
I hope they do a really, really good job on Dumbledore's death scene. I'm actually a bit glad Dumbledore is going away, because Michael Gambon is horrible as Dumbledore. He's wayy too harsh. Richard Harris will always be Dumbledore, IMO. Remember that scene when Gambon yelled: "Don't you all have studying to do?!" Makes me flinch everytime. Happy I'm glad they're splitting HP7. They cut out too many details in the films, so I think we can expect HP7 to be pretty close to the book. Plus, the budget will be HUGE, so it'll be visually spectacular. I'm super excited. I also want to visit the HP themepark in Florida that's opening in 2010. XD
Hehe I came across this picture today of Cedric aka Edward Cullen aka Robert Pattinson. It's one of the funniest pictures I've ever seen. He looks like a unicorn:

Lol post a pic of your homemade costume on CO&K if you can! Happy That'll be so cute. The 5th HP movie was the best... the kissing scene between Harry and Cho was really awkward though, but Dolores Umbridge was fantastic, and who doesn't love the DA? I think I love Umbridge as a villain more than Voldy - she's amazing with her animated kitten collectable plates. I love those plates.
The worst HP film is the 3rd. EVERYTHING was different in the 3rd movie, it's so annoying. I'm dying to see the 6th movie and how they do Dumbledore's death scene. And we'll be seeing more of Snape from now on. I LOVE Alan Rickman as Snape. He makes my life.
I hope they did a better dye job on Nikki while she was filming, it just really annoyed me that her roots were SO visible. And she doesn't look like a supermodel. She's gorgeous, but not tall enough. There are thousands of naturally blonde, tall actresses. They had to choose a brunette?! Who are you going to see Twilight with? None of my friends read (or have admitted!) to reading Twilight! *sigh*

Ooo a Halloween party!! Fun!! An easy and homemade costume... well, if you're a good sewer you can whip something up, or take a look in your closet for inspiration. I'm a big fan or fairy costumes since you get to wear lots of glitter all over your face and hair, and all you need is a pair of wings and a wand from the dollar store, and you can either wear jeans and a tight tee and be a casual fairy or wear in a fancy dress and be a tooth fairy or something lol. Book costumes are always fun too, like Alice from Alice in Wonderland (blue dress, black hair bow and a stuffed cat to tote around as your Cheshire Cat and *poof* you're Alice). Or you could be one of the Twilight characters *wink* All you'd need are regular clothes and vampire teeth. Hmm.. Or Hermione Granger or Luna Lovegood? For Hermione, all you need is a black cardigan, a homemade Hogwarts crest pin for your sweater (print one out from the computer and paste it on a pin backing), jeans (or a knee-length grey or black skirt) and a wand. And a wizard's hat if you have one, and carry around a book. For Luna, there are directions as to how to make her radish earrings online, and all you'd need are a sweater, wand (a painted twig would do nicely) and a wizard's hat. 1960s costumes are always fun too - mini skirts and gogo boots, ect.! Which reminds me that the 1960s version of Nancy Drew would be a fun costume too. XD
Any of those inspirational? Let me know how it works out!

LOL What I don't understand is, how can vampires even grow beards or stubble? They're dead and they're hearts don't beat. Thus, they can't have any more living cells in them (including sperm, but somehow Bella got pregnant!). It even mentions repeatedly in the book that Edward doesn't need "human time" to get ready like normal people do - I would assume that includes shaving... he doesn't even use the washroom for crying out loud, but he can grow stubble and make babies?! LOL

Either way, the kiss IS pretty hot. The girl who plays Bella is a bit stiff in her acting, though... I hope she's better in the movie. And what's up with the actress who plays Rosalie?!! She isn't even a natural blonde! You can see her dark brown roots so clearly in the promo photos!!

I'm expecting Twilight to be pretty cheesy and laughable at times (that music!!). But I'll probably love it anyway - who doesn't love a good romance? XD The Potter movies are a bit cheesy too - Daniel Radcliffe can be sooo annoying sometimes!!

LOL I don't even remember Edward and Bella have a real conversation, it was like Meyers chose to have all their "real" conversations happen out of the book. From what the readers could see in, their relationship was mostly about Edward brooding about everything and Bella wanting to have sex. And even when Breaking Dawn ended, they were still spending all their time in their love shack and obviously not talking. They seemed to care more about sleeping together instead of caring for their baby?! It was like Bella never really bonded with the baby she died to give birth to. They just let Rosalie care for Renesmee!

I found the story got a bit repetitive after a while too. By the end of Breaking Dawn, I kept thinking: "If I have to read one more line about Edward's mouth being pursed in a hard line or how dazzling/amazingly beautiful Edward is, I'm going to shoot myself." XD

When Dumbledore dies in book 6 I threw the book down and walked away for a couple hours. I couldn't believe it. And poor Fang and Dobby Happy I saw the new Twilight trailer!! I started laughing after the first few seconds because of the corny music. But it looks pretty good. I'll probably go see it, but I it looked a bit cheesy. What did you think?

LOL! There's a reason why Hamlet is a classic - by saying she doesn't want her book to be like Hamlet, Meyer's essentially saying she doesn't want her book to be good?! It's such a shame, because if the ending were written properly, the series could have been exciting and even poignant. But Breaking Dawn seemed so shallow, like all Edward and Bella wanted was to be physically close to each other. I think Meyer put too much emphasis on the physical aspect of their relationship, and forgot what should have been Bella's struggle to become a vampire and leave her past life, friends and family behind. Instead, she just gave Bella everything she wanted and ended the book! And what was up with Jake, who was completely infatuated with Bella and wanted to have werewolf babies with her, suddenly deciding that he was kinda indifferent to her?

I <3 Sirus too. And Lupin. I'm so sad that Lupin died in book 7, although he was a bit of jerk, running off on Tonks while she was pregnant. And I loved Fred, he was my favourite character. :'( I was such a geek while reading Deathly Hallows, I was clutching a tissue box and sobbing like a little girl at the end whenever we found out somebody had died *lol*

I will definitely read The Host after HP! Which Harry Potter book is your favourite? I'm re-reading the third right now - yay Sirus and Lupin!!

I was SO disappointed with Breaking Dawn. I loved the other books... but Breaking Dawn was just ridiculous. Considering vampires are dead, I have no idea how Edward would even be able to get Bella pregnant to begin with. And then after having a monster baby, she makes up a silly name like Renesmee. Too bad she didn't have twins - she could have named the other baby Bellaward.

And the ending was so anti-climatic... we spent like half the book preparing for this huge, epic battle, and nothing ever happened. Everyone just walked away and only one completely inconsequential character dies.
