  • How to make a dangle earring. Wirework Angel - Step 1
    Step 1

Cut 40cm of wire and make a triangle shape in the middle with a base of approximately 1.5cm. To make it a more rounded shape use a pair of round nose pliers or bail making pliers to create the bends.

    Step 2

Place your bail making pliers 3cm up the wire and bring the tail around the pliers to create a curve. Repeat on the other side, so the wires cross each other in the middle.

    Step 3

On one side at a time, place a pair of chain nose pliers approximately 7mm down from the curve you just made, and fold the wire over the pliers back on itself.

    Step 4

Create your next curve on either side in the same way as previously. Place your chain nose pliers slightly further down the wire, then bring it back on itself.

    Step 5

Continue until you come to make the fourth curve, where you want to bring the length on one side underneath the angel, to lay flat next to the other wire.

    Step 6

Make the fourth curve on the opposite side and bring that length over, to lay flat next to the other wire.

    Step 7

Using a larger step on your bail making pliers, bring one length around it to make a loop for the shape of the head.

    Step 8

Following the same shape, repeat with the other wire. Your wires will then be pointing downwards to each their own side.

    Step 9

Cut off one wire at a time where it overlaps with the bottom of the head shape, so the end of the wire meets up with the side of the same wire.
