Based on Wands Hp Style.... Again... by sigrunelise
I used a broken chopstick I'd experimented on and thought I'd ruined, but it was perfect for this tutorial. In addition to the objects in the original tutorial, I used a couple of large beads and the cord from a broken pair of headphones.

I painted a faux wood grain by lightly dry brushing a darker brown over a lighter brown. There's a little bit of metallic gold in the paint to make it a little shimmery. I varnished it with polyurethane varnish.

I had everything I needed to make this, so it was essentially free. These wands are so easy and so inspired. I think the results are spectacular, they almost look like real movie props. Absolutely one of the best tutorials I've ever tried!
