I think some animal caught them and scooped them out of their shells, slurping them up.... ORRRRRRRRRRR They grew wings and learned to fly away..... XD

Contrary to popular "Over The Hedge" movie belief... turtles cannot take their shells off.... so the shells she used are more or less their skeletons. It'd be nice to think there was little nekked turtles running around, but alas, lol. Those shells are awesome by the way!

Wonderful paint job!! I've been wondering what to do with the turtle shells that my dogs bring to me-I'm just glad that they haven't brought me any with the turtle still alive inside of the shell!
