You can repurpose those nice sturdy gift boxes that housed the gifts you've received. If you have the habit of throwing out boxes after opening its contents, you will surely change your mind when you learn this craft.

    Grab some sturdy cardboard boxes.

    Draw any fruit you like using pencil on the front of the box. For this tutorial, I drew a pineapple.

    Use an X-acto knife or craft knife to slice away some parts of your fruit outline.Be strategic, though, cut only the outline that will still hold the pineapple in place.

    Trace the outline with a black marker pen.

    cut up some colored construction paper. Cut it in a size that could make it fit through the inside of the box.

  • Step 6

    Apply glue all over the edge of the construction paper and insert it through the box where you have made the fruit cut out. Press it in so the paper is glued to the box.
