These are a hoot! Hedwig and Pigwidgeon!
Perler beads are usually at any craft store. The templates I used were the large hexagon and the small hexagon. I also made sure the magnetic strips on the back were secure by using hot glue on the edges. *I think it's called magnetic tape, I'm not sure. It comes in a roll and there are different sizes too.
