A wonderfully warm cowl made with beautiful alpaca yarn.
This Super Cozy Cowl is so warm and and wonderful to wear!! The Baby Alpaca Grande yarn has beautiful drape, and is incredibly soft. This cowl is also very easy to make and is a great project for beginning knitters, but also fun for the more experienced knitters too.
Size: 15" tall, 22.5" around.
Yarn requirements: 220 yards of chunky weight yarn
(Yarn used in the cowl pictured is 2 skeins of Plymouth Yarns Baby Alpaca Grande, color 0145)

Step 1
Cast on 90 sts. Being careful not to twist the stitches, place marker and join to work in the round.
Round 1: *K3, P2; repeat from * around.
Repeat round 1 until cowl measures approximately 13 inches.
Next round: *K3, P2, K1, K2tog, P2; repeat from * around. (81 sts)
Next round: *K1, K2tog, P2, K2, P2; repeat from * around. (72 sts)
Next round: *K2, P2; repeat from * around.
Repeat last round until you have enough yarn to bind off.
Bind off in K2, P2 pattern.
Weave in ends. Block if desired.
