Steampunk Choker

  • Completed Project: Steampunk Choker Picture #1
  • Completed Project: Steampunk Choker Picture #2

Steampunk inspired choker.
 <  Image 1 of 2  >

The pendant was bought at an expo, originally with a rather cheap fastening which broke within 5 minutes, and almost left at the bottom of the jewellery box. Then I realised I could make it into a choker and here we are.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Cut the ribbon to the right length, it should fit around your neck with enough overlap for a button.

  2. Step 1

    Step 1

Use all purpose glue to seal the edges. This prevents fraying.

  3. Step 2

    Step 2

Attach the button to one end with the needle and thread. Cut a button hole on the other end of the ribbon (again seal the edges with glue).

  4. Step 3

Attach your pendant, I sewed the top end onto the ribbon and then used glue AS WELL because the pendant I used is fairly heavy.

  5. Step 4

    Finished.
