Stitch a simple 3D rose brooch.
It was my Nana's birthday this week and her name is Rose, so I decided to make her a matching rose brooch.

    Draw a basic flower template on to paper. This should be roughly the size you'd like your finished brooch to be and trace around it on to felt.

    Draw a slightly smaller flower inside the original template, cut out and trace around this on to felt.

    Repeat twice more, so that you have four flowers and cut a long strip of felt. Cut a scalloped edge along the strip, tapering to a point at one end.

    Arrange and layer the flowers on top of each other.

    Thread a needle with red felt and make a stitch in the center of your flower.

    Squeeze together the flower at each corner and secure with a few stitches to give the flower a 3D shape.

    Roll the strip of felt up so that it looks like a rose bud.
