Draw a basic flower template on to paper. This should be roughly the size you'd like your finished brooch to be and trace around it on to felt.
Draw a slightly smaller flower inside the original template, cut out and trace around this on to felt.
Repeat twice more, so that you have four flowers and cut a long strip of felt. Cut a scalloped edge along the strip, tapering to a point at one end.
Arrange and layer the flowers on top of each other.
Thread a needle with red felt and make a stitch in the center of your flower.
Squeeze together the flower at each corner and secure with a few stitches to give the flower a 3D shape.
Roll the strip of felt up so that it looks like a rose bud.
Stitch in to the center of the flower.
Cut two leaves from green felt. Snip around the edges to give a jagged edge.
Fold each leaf in half and stitch up the centre to give a 3D leaf shape.
Stitch the leaves on to the back of your rose.
Cut a rectangle of green felt for the stalk.
Thread a needle with green thread. Roll up the rectangle and stitch along the open edge - leaving a small part unstitched at the top.
Place the unstitched edge neatly on to the back of your rose and stitch in place.
Sew on a brooch back.
Glue a couple of clear crystals on to the rose to give the appearance of rain drops and you're all done!
