I took a small notepad and cut some construction paper to fit, glued it on and drilled 2 small holes in the top to string my yarn (you can use ribbon also). I cut out a construction paper heart for the pencil and used sparkly craft paper to glue on to make the pretty border and cut shapes out and glued them to the notepad. You can also use stickers.

I then positioned my pencil and used a hole punch for two holes. I wrote some catchy stuff on them and TA Daaaaaaa... they were done.

You could also use a longer ribbon, string or yarn so it can be worn around the neck for an idea...
