    Step 1

Fold your fabric in half "sideways" so to speak, so that the pattern ends up the same way both back and front. Sketch a simple mountain shape with a pencil and cut it out.

    Step 2

This is how my cushion turned out-I wanted it to be quite high and sturdy, so you can really lean on it and use it for comfort when you read and write.

    Step 3

Cut a piece of natural cotton fabric, measuring 18cmx9cm. Iron in 1 cm all around the patch. Sew along the top part of one side to prepare the pocket.

Switch to red thread and place a few white felt snowflakes on the mountain. Also add a few with blue thread, which will fit very well in the colour scheme.

This is how I designed my cushion-you can of course add, subtract and swap as you prefer yourself.

    Step 9

Place the mountain and it`s back face to face, pin together and sew all around it apart from a small gap at the very bottom. Turn the cushion right side out, push the mountain tops out carefully with the back of a paint brush and fill it with toy stuffing. Sew along the entire bottom line, to close the gap.
