a FAST fix for a kid with a "gearhead" full of ideas.
Custom-made journal for my son. He wanted it to have "Chick Hicks" from the movie "Cars" on it, so I took it a step further and made it LOOK like Chick Hicks instead!! Used real racing decals instead of the fictional ones from "Cars" (since I couldn't find more than 6 or 7 of them). The inside covers are painted black, and the front inside cover has a page-sized "Route 66" sign (since he likes that too). This was fun, and much enjoyed!!

Most of the decals I found in various places online, and some even had to search for. I resized as necessary in Photoshop and printed them out on regular paper (with color laser) and then decoupaged them onto the book with Tacky Glue. It was easiest to lay them all out first and get a good idea of how to arrange them on the cover before I started gluing :)
