CD protectors turned Coasters
Every time I buy a pack of empty CDs, they come with this transparent cd shaped plastic and I never got around what to do with them. Some very old music sheets and I had beautiful new costers in less than 20 minutes!
*For best results, use only a glue stick, not liquid white glue!*

  • Step 1

Just take any double sided image you have (comic strips would also look awesome!), cut them the size of the cd, cut out the center hole too and just carefully glue between 2 plastic disks (don't over do it with the glue!). Let dry! (Mine were not completely dry in the pictures!)

  • Step 2

Use the cd container to keep your coasters neatly!

I buy Teac, Silverline, white brands... sometimes, there is a foam disk instead, but I think it only happened once. I think the main idea is, as with a lot of things we would throw away, to keep them. These just seem like a terrible waste of perfectly good plastic.
If you don't have enough to make a set of coasters, ask your friends to keep theirs for you. You'll have lot of them in no time! Happy
Cheers!

that is so neat! My only question would be what brand of cds do you buy, mine don't come with these transparent disks. Happy
thanks!

Glad you do! These were really fun to do. Can't wait to have more plastic disks and do a different theme. Happy
