Make scrapbooks out of random things!
 <  Image 1 of 3  >

I love salvaging through random stuff to make scrapbooks. I found some really cool playing cards that were missing a few, so I thought let's put them back to use.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

First find a few cards that are no longer any use.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Then cut some pieces of paper the size of the playing cards. I made about 16, but any amount will do. Then whole punch the papers and the cards.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Get your supplies and figure out your layout. I used ribbon, buttons, puff paint, paper, and pens. Have at it. Decorate, have fun, and be creative.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Pictures are an option, you can make this mini scrapbook a quote book, recipe book, and so on. TIP; If you do use pictures I wouldn't put puff paint on the opposite side of a picture. When the book closes the puff paint tends to stick taking off little bits of your picture.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

I then took ribbon to bind the papers together. It's easier when you have finished decorating your papers. You can then tie or hot glue the ribbon together to make your binding. I hot glued and cut mine. Be sure to keep it somewhat loose so you can turn the pages. Your project is complete! Give as a gift or keep it for yourself. :)
