My boyfriend loves marzipan-- he first tried it when we went to Boston for a wedding, and he's been bugging me to make it ever since. He recently got a position on our Law Review's Editorial Board, so I made these little marzipan monsters as a congratulatory present (and tried to forget that he got the position I wanted!)
I colored the marzipan and then dampened the balls and rolled them in colored sugar for a little fuzz.
Their eyes are slivered almonds with magic marker pupils (it would probably be better to use a food coloring marker, but I didn't have any of those).
