instead of taping over the lenses (i was worried about having sticky tape gunk all over my shades when i peeled off the tape) i just popped the lenses out, and it seemed to work just fine.

Awesome!! You did a great job. I couldnt get the lenses off mine without breaking them, but its great that you did! Thanks for sharing! I love the colors!
