Pretty Easy
Lame but AWESOME

So yesterday, Aren asked me to make some leg covers for the couch. He said I sould try to use elastic at the top or something so they would stay on better, but also that he didn't want them to be too noticeable. Initially I remembered that he had a few socks with holes in them and I thought perhaps I could use the sock as padding on the underside of the cover - and then I had the best idea EVER. Well maybe not ever.... but I was pretty stoked anyways. I could use the elastic at the top of the sock to keep the cover on! Not amazing, but whatever.

You Will Need

Project Cost
Almost Nothing

  1. Step 1 1

So here we can see the cutout sock pieces. Black to use on the outside with a blue piece as padding, then the elastic top of the sock and finally a finished Couch Sock. :)
The circles are cut as big as the leg you want to cover + about a half a centimetre (for serging/sewing).

  2. Step 2 2

Serging with my NEW serger!! (Thanks Aren)
Assemble as such: blue (padding) on bottom, black (outside of leg cover) next and finally on top the elastic band cut from the top of the sock.
If you don't have a serger use ZigZag on your machine.

  3. Step 3 3

Before turning all of the layers inside out.
It will look perhaps a little wobbly - but that is fine!

  4. Step 4 4

    The Sock.
Turn all layer inside out (so seam is on inside.
Try it on your couch/chair leg.

  5. Step 5 5

    Couch modeling the sock. Awesome.
