  1. Step 1 1

Step one cut your waist band. I used an old lace curtain so I just cut off the bottom hem. If you just use a piece of lace then fold the lace in half and cut it.

Also measure and cut your under layer.

  2. Step 2 2

Step 2 measure the waistband around where you would like it to sit.

  3. Step 3 3

Step 3 cut your layers. Make each one longer than the next and until you have it as long as you want the skirt to be.

  4. Step 4 4

Step 4 gather the layers then sew them onto the waist band. There’s two ways you could do this.
-you could set your sewing machine onto the loosest stitch and sew all the way along your fabric. Tie a knot in the threads at one end and at the other end pull one thread until it gathers.
-or you could do it the lazy way… I tend to have a lot of trouble with the thread snapping when I do it the first way. You just gather it as you sew… if that makes any sense

  5. Step 5 5

Step 5 Sew your under layer on and hem it.

  6. Step 6 6

Step 6 pin the zipper in and sew it.

  7. Step 7 7

Step 7 I added a bow to mine for decoration. This is obviously optional

    viola! You’re finished!
