An old and abused lab coat is given a new life!
I bought some fabric to make a dress, but I wanted to do a test run just to make sure I knew what I was doing before I began cutting up the expensive stuff. I had a few old lab coats hanging around the house from work. so I used one for the fabric. The fabric is stiff and rigid, but I'm not disappointed with the outcome. The dress I'm making after this will look and feel worlds different. I rather like the novelty of this lab coat dress =)
I used the video linked to for the guide to a fitted bodice. I used my own duct tape dress form to fit it to my body.
This dress took about a day to finish, with some minor adjustments taking up a couple of hours of that time.

You did such a good job on this, no one could ever tell it was a labcoat just by looking at it. I love how you used a labcoat by the way c: annnd I love the shade of your hair, it's lovely.

Thanks Kelli! It has a few stains on it from work, but I think that's what makes it even more unique. It was just a throw-together that I came to love the deeper into it's creation I went.
