You Will Need

  • How to stitch a knit or crochet bracelet. Knitted Bracelet - Step 1
    Step 1

    Things you will need:

    Buttons
    Knitting needles
    needle and thread
Wool in 2 contrasting colours (I used a chunky yarn for the bracelet itself)

    Step 2

Step 1: Cast on your stitches - because the wool i used was so chunky I only needed 4 stitches to get my desired width. If you are using a thinner yarn you will need more stitches.

If you want to use more stitches make sure that you use an even number of stitches.

Step 2: Knit until your bracelet is long enough - as a rough guide this will be the diameter of your wrist plus 2cm (this works out to be approx 18cm for a small wrist)

Step 3: This is the part where you want to create your button-hole. To do this knit the first two stitches together, then do a yarn over twice and knit the last two stitches together.

If you are using using more stitches on each row, you will need to do the above to the middle four stitches.

If you are struggling with how to knit two stitches together or how to do a yarn over there are loads of videos on you tube showing how to do the stitches.

Step 4: On the next row knit the first stitch then knit into the loop created by the first yarn over, then knit into the second yarn over loop. Following this knit the final stitch.

Knit 2 more rows after this.
