there's a place close to my house called the union mission. every saturday they have a thrift store, where most clothes are fifty cents and pants are one dollar. odds & ends like books and knick knacks are around a quarter or a dime. i found some khakis there and turned them into a small quilt!

That's awesome, it looks like a really expensive designer quilt. Well done

Did you just sew all the squares together because it loks to me like some are woven strips. Are they?

I love blankets and wish I had the patience to make a quilt for myself. It looks fabulous!

One of my "someday" project ideas is one made of old blue jeans. I have officially added a Khakis one to my list. Oh, bother... ;-)

Wow it looks great. Here is a stupid question. I have done a few of these in the past but mine never seem to turn out perfectly square overall even though everything sewed together is square itself. Any tips on how to get the whole piece square in the end?

Agreed, that does look like some kind of designer quilt from those too expensive home stores.
Do you stitch in the ditch to keep it all together?
