    Step 1

select your jelly roll! these usually range between $15 to $50.. it all depends on the brand and where you get it from.
cut the jelly roll strips into 4 equal lenght strips

  • Step 2

pin these together in groups of 4, trying not to have any colour double ups in each set. and sew them together into squares.

    Step 3

now pin these squares into strips of 4 or 5, making sure to alternate the direction of the strips

    Step 4

now you sew these strips into one big square/rectangle, still remembering to alternate the direction of the strips.

  • Step 5

cut 4 4"-6" strips for your border out of the extra fabric and sew it around the quilt.

  • Step 6

Now for the fun part.. you have to quilt it. I just dint a few straight lines on my sewing machine at home but its hard to keep it flat like that.. so you could also do it by hand or some sewing/quilting shops will quilt if for you for a fee.. this usually ranges from $50 to $200 depending on the size of your quilt

  • Step 7

after it's been quilted you have to sew the binding on and since I'm terrible at explaining things, I found a youtube video to tell you how to do it!

  • Step 8
