This is so cool. I did a project like this in fourth grade (teacher supervision of course) We also took some white melted paraffin and whipped it then added it to the base of the candle (which was placed on a square of cardboard covered with tin foil) and sprinkled it with glitter. It was a traditional Christmas candle in my family for a while. :) But then again, parents have to display their children's efforts. :P hehe Thanx for posting.

I totally love this!! Am gonna try it as soon as I have sorted out the basement and found my old pan. (btw is there anyting else to do it in? I'm not so into cleaning out that basement... lol)
