1. 

   

   Cut about 6 inches of ribbon (or less depending on how big you want your bow to be.

2. 

   

   Lightly burn the two ends of your ribbon (to prevent fraying). (Go back and forth really quick so that you dont burn your edges too much.)




3. 

   

   Fold the two ends inwards so that they are overlapping each other. (Fold in however much you want in order to increase or decrease the size of your bow.)

4. 

   

   Place a pin in the middle, to hold bow together.




5. 

   

   Cut another piece of ribbon, about 4 inches. (bow looks best if this piece of ribbon is smaller in width.)
   *Burn edges lightly to prevent fraying.

6. 

   

   Fold this ribbon inward also. (be sure that this piece is smaller in length than the other piece)

7. 

   

   Place this ribbon on top of the other ribbon and pin it.

8. 

   

   cut two pieces of another color of ribbon (about 1 1/2 inches) and seal edges by burning them.

9. 

   

   pin these two pieces to the back,

10. 

    

    by now your bow should look somewhat like this.

11. 

    

    sew the pieces together.

12. 

    

    Pick a button...

13. 

    

    sew it on...

14. 

    

    ta da!! you got yourself a bow
    (for your hair, buy clips and hot glue your bows on and then you can wear them in your hair !)
    *you can buy a pack of a 100 for like $5 at sally's beauty supply store.
    *the clips are alligator type i.e <
    *i usually hot glue ribbon on both sides so that the silver plates are more camoflauged.
