Cute necklace to get you ready for the summer.
These Greek ceramic washer beads look just like the sweets in candy bracelets and necklaces. I wanted to make something that was a bit more grown up.

    Step 1

    Cut one end of the cord into a point to make it easier to thread the beads on.

    Using a pair of chain nose pliers add a fold over clasp to one end of the necklace.

    It will look a bit like this.

    Thread on the pastel colour washers in a random pattern.

    Add about 2/3rds of the pastel coloured washers.

    Thread on all the fuchsia coloured washers to get a colourblock effect.

    Add the rest of the pastel coloured beads.

    Again using chain nose pliers add a fold over clasp to the other end of the suede cord.

    Use 2 pairs to open the jump rings. To open and close jump rings hold either side of the opening in the ring with a pair of pliers. Move the ends in a forward and backwards motion. Never pull the jump ring apart sideways, this deforms the shape of the ring.

    Use the jump rings to attach the ends of the clasps.
