Golden Noodle Japanese Purse

Ode to Japan purse featuring Noodle from Gorillaz
 <  Image 1 of 2  >

I needed a new purse. I wanted it to be small but big enough to hold a cash card. On the front Noodle from Gorillaz is eating up lots of noodles from a bowl which reads 'Noodles' and on the back is the Japanese 'Rising Sun' flag.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Cut out a long rectangle of felt at the size you want.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Fold it up and cut the flap to the length you want, cut the corners into curves if you wish.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    Embroider a pattern onto it.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Sew on a button and make the button hole. It's easier to know where to put the button hole if you can feel the button underneath and mark where the hole needs to be.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Sew up the purse's pouch and add any additional detail, like the stitches up the sides of the flap on mine.
